MAKEUP BEFORE AND AFTER: A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY NOT TO COVER UP FRECKLES

Hey there, beauty lovers! there, beauty lovers! Today, I want to talk about something that’s been on my mind for a while – makeup and our relationship with freckles. You see, I’ve always been a bit self-conscious about my freckles. I used to think they made me look messy and unattractive, so I would spend hours trying to cover them up with makeup. But recently, I had a realisation that changed my entire perspective. Let me share my makeup before and after journey with you.

    Before: The Cover-Up

For years, I religiously applied layers of foundation and concealer to hide my freckles. I would cake on the product, hoping to achieve a flawless, even complexion. But what I didn’t realise was that in the process, I was also hiding a part of myself. My freckles were a unique feature that made me, well, me! By trying to mask them, I was essentially saying that there was something wrong with the way I looked naturally.

Moreover, constantly covering up my ftimeles took a lot of time and effort. It felt like a never-ending battle, and it started to take a toll on my self-confidence. I would look in the mirror and still see all the “imperfections” that I was trying so hard to hide. It was a cycle that left me feeling frustrated and disconnected from my true self.

    After: Embracing My Freckles

One day, I decided to take a step back and really look at my freckles. I started to notice how they added character and charm to my face. They were like little constellations, telling a story of my heritage and individuality. So, I made a conscious decision to stop covering them up and start embracing them.

I started by using lighter, more sheer makeup that allowed my freckles to peek through. Instead of aiming for a perfect, homogenous complexion, I focused on enhancing my natural features. I used a tinted moisturiser to even out my skin tone, added a touch of bronzer for a healthy glow, and let my freckles shine through.

The result was a look that was not only more effortless but also made me feel more confident. I realised that my freckles were not something to be ashamed of but rather a beautiful part of who I am. They gave me a unique edge and made me stand out in a sea of flawless faces.

Now, when I look in the mirror, I see a woman who is comfortable in her own skin. I’ve learned that true beauty comes from accepting and loving ourselves just as we are. And that’s a lesson I want to share with all of you.

So, here’s my advice: don’t be afraid to embrace your freckles. They are a part of you that makes you unique and beautiful. Instead of covering them up, try to enhance them with makeup that allows them to shine. And remember, confidence is the best accessory you can wear. Love yourself, flaws and all, and you’ll be amazed at how beautiful you truly are.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Let’s celebrate our individuality and embrace the things that make us different!

    Until next time,
